چکیده
In athletes, one of the most common injuries is a sprained ankle. If energy trauma particularly high, this type injury can lead to an isolated medial dislocation subtalar joint (STJ), rare condition poorly described in literature. The aim study was verify if reliable conservative treatment and specific physiotherapy rehabilitation protocol STJ athletes A systematic review published literature last 11 years performed by applying Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines using three databases: Pubmed, Scopus, Web Science. keywords used were “(subtalar OR talocalcaneal) AND dislocation”. We considered only studies that included professional or amateur (athletic patients). American Orthopedic Foot Ankle Society (AOFAS) scale, range motion (ROM) ankle joint, talonavicular osteoarthritis, patient feedback evaluate their outcomes. total 12 our review, with 26 athletic patients. Sixteen them had good results correlation between duration immobilisation Nevertheless, due small number patients analysed on subject literature, there not yet univocal clinical treat (STJD) warranting further research field.

Isolated subtalar dislocation.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES As a result of reading this article, physicians should be able to: 1. Understand the etiology, epidemiology, and importance of treatment of isolated subtalar dislocation. 2. Understand the most common management practices when treating isolated subtalar dislocation and identify variations in management that may affect prognosis. 3. Consolidate reported patient outcomes as...
متن کاملLateral subtalar dislocation: Case report and review of the literature
A case of complicated lateral subtalar dislocation is presented and the literature concerning this injury is reviewed. Subtalar joint dislocations are rare and often the result of a high-energy trauma. Complications include avascular necrosis of the talus, infection, posttraumatic osteoarthritis requiring arthrodesis and chronic subtalar instability. Negative prognostic factors include lateral ...

BMJ Case Rep Published online: [please include Day Month Year] doi:10.1136/bcr-2012007763 DESCRIPTION Subtalar dislocations are rare types of injury and account for approximately 1% of all dislocations. There is simultaneous disruption of both the talocalcaneal and talonavicular joints, whereas the tibiotalar and calcaneocuboid joints remain undisturbe...
متن کاملClosed medial total subtalar joint dislocation without ankle fracture: a case report
INTRODUCTION Total subtalar dislocation without fracture of the ankle is a rare clinical entity; it is usually due to a traumatic high-energy mechanism. Standard treatment is successful closed reduction under general anesthesia followed by non-weight bearing and ankle immobilization with a below-knee cast for 6 weeks. CASE PRESENTATION We present the case of a 30-year-old Moroccan woman who w...
متن کاملSports hernias: a systematic literature review.
This review summarises the existing knowledge about pathogenesis, differential diagnosis, conservative treatment, surgery and post-surgical rehabilitation of sports hernias. Sports hernias occur more often in men, usually during athletic activities that involve cutting, pivoting, kicking and sharp turns, such as those that occur during soccer, ice hockey or football. Sports hernias generally pr...
